If you don't know your dog or cat's neck size, here is how to measure. You can use a piece of string, place the string around your pets neck, noting how much string it takes to go completely around their neck. Measure that length of the string by laying it on a ruler or yard stick. Surprise! You're done. However many inches you measured, that’s your pet's neck size. Find the collar that includes your pets measured size and it will fit.

There is some overlap in our sizing, for instance a pet with a 13" neck can wear a small collar 8" to 14" or a medium collar 12" to 20". Your choice. How to pick? Here is a little more information to help you decide.

The cat safety collars are identical to our x-small dog collar with one very important feature. These collars have a safety release buckle that snaps open under pressure releasing your cat if it should become entangled by his collar. It is very light weight and very strong. Machine washable, color fast and unconditionally guaranteed.

These are very light weight collars and very small collars. At less than .02 oz these collars feature light weight dee rings, and plastic buckles. This size is intended for toy breeds and cats and very small puppies. These collars should not be used on dogs weighing over 5 lbs. While the webbing is very light is also very strong, making this an exceptionally light and tiny collar. This item is especially cute with bows and durable enough for everyday use. For all Toy breeds, Miniature breeds, Chihuahuas, Chinese Crested, Pomeranian and similar size dogs, and almost all cats. For very large cats you may want to consider our large cat collar. The large cat collar is the same width and weight just longer 8 to 14" long.

Another very light weight collar intended for small dogs. This size is just right for little dogs that are not toy size. This collar has the same super light, super strong webbing as the x-small collar. It is just a bit wider and has a much stronger buckle, making this the best collar for little dogs that like to pull. The perfect size for many smaller dog breeds and even used occasionally on large cats. This is our most popular size! For smaller Terriers, Griffon, Lhasa Apso, Jack Russell, Maltese, Miniature Poodle, smaller Spaniels & Schnauzers, and growing puppies of most sizes.

Medium dog 3/4" wide,  12"- 20" long

Fits all medium sized dogs. With a wider and thicker webbing, and a larger buckle this collar is plenty sturdy. Featuring a steel dee ring for strength, this collar is built to take the stresses produced by the medium sized breeds. For Beagles, Brittanys, Corgis, Cockers, smaller Retrievers, Dalmatians, Boxers, Fox Terriers, Westies and larger breeds with smaller necks like the Irish Setter, and some sighthounds.

Fits almost all large size dogs. This collar is a full inch wide, and adjusts over such a wide range that it is suitable for a very long list of dog breeds. It features a steel dee ring and a larger buckle. This is a very good looking collar because of the width and shows well on many breeds. Including, Bloodhound, large Boxers, Bulldogs, Chow, Shar-Pei, Doberman, Shepherds, medium to large Retrievers, Rottweilers, Great Danes, Old English Sheepdogs, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Giant Schnauzer, and Huskies, etc, etc.

NOTE: ABOUT TIE-OUT

Adjustable collars with plastic buckles are not intended for Tie-out. If you intend to tie your dog out, purchase a collar with a metal buckle. Safety warning, even though we don't make standard choke collars, we would like you to know that you should  NEVER EVER TIE A DOG OUT WITH A CHOKE COLLAR! Not even a martingale collar. 

Martingale Collars

5/8" wide,   6 1/2"- 11" long

Small enough for whippets, Italian Greyhounds and very small dogs. This collar is made wider than our 6.5" - 11" adjustable collar to protect fragile coats and necks. Still very light weight yet strong, features a light weight zink die cast dee ring.

3/4" wide,   8"- 14" long

Still small enough for some whippets but large enough for smaller sighthounds this is a 'medium' collar cut down to a smaller length. Providing a nice wide collar that is great looking and comfortable and a welded steel dee ring. 

3/4" wide,   12"- 20" long

A standard medium martingale size. Commonly used for quite large dogs including greyhounds, borzoi and afghan. Very strong and sturdy with a welded steel dee ring.

1" wide,   12"- 20" long

The same length as the standard medium martingale, but in the wider 1" width. Nice for the large sighthounds because the extra width is so comfortable. Very strong and sturdy with a welded steel dee ring.

1" wide,   16"- 28" long

The collar can get very big! Much larger than usually seen in martingales, but still very nice looking. Great for really big dogs that don't quite fit in the medium size. Very strong and sturdy with a welded steel dee ring.
